Hey all! As stated, my name is Siri Froiland, and I'm the 2024 GSMB Vice President. I've been on the drumline for 4 years playing a variety of instruments, and I also play cello and piano.  Other than the band, I'm super involved in other areas on campus, including Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, College of Arts and Sciences Ambassadors, and Blue Key Honor Society, so if you have any questions about NDSU or Fargo, just ask! Hello, my name is David Hutar and I am going into my third year in the Gold Star Marching Band, second year as a sousaphone section leader, and first year as the band treasurer. I am also majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management. Growing up as a band directors son led me to be surrounded by music my entire life, and so joining the Gold Star Marching Band was a must once I found out about it. Since joining this band, I have made friends and memories I could not have made anywhere else and I cannot wait to make many more. Other than the marching band, I am involved with university band, pep band, and hall government. I also enjoy watching tv shows, movies, football, and playing any game with friends. Hi! My name is Joseph, I've been in love with music since I started playing trombone in 5th grade, and the GSMB is an amazing next step in my life! This will be my 4th year in the GSMB while I pursue a Computer Science Bachelor's, and I can't wait to get started!Outside of school, I enjoy playing video games, playing guitar, and listening to metal, and could probably talk for hours about any of those if you need an ice breaker. Hi! My name is Caitlyn Burghard. This is my second year in the GSMB, and I get to be your Public Relations Officer this year! Yes, I am from Wyoming, and yes, I know its not real. I started in band in 4th grade where I started playing the oboe. It changed to trumpet in 5th grade and played it through middle school. I just didn't have time for band anymore, so I unfortunately did not do band for most of high school. By my senior year, my best friend convinced me to join Color Guard. That had to be the best decision of my life, because I have fallen in love with Color Guard ever since. When I am not in band, you can find me playing video games, crocheting, sewing, or baking/cooking. I love meeting new people and answering any questions, so feel free to reach out!
