I have been involved in many other activities besides marching band as well, there are so many opportunities in college and the memories you make have a lasting impact. Hey! My name is Em and I’m the Vice President for the 2026-2027 GSMB. I’m an Art Education major with a minor in Theatre Arts and I play the trumpet. I’ve been in the band going on 5 years now and joining has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My time in the Gold Star Band has built me up into the person I am today and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had here! I can’t wait to see what we can do in the coming season! Go Bison!!

Hi! My name is Caitlyn Burghard, and I am excited to be this year's Secretary and Color Guard Section Leader! I have been involved in bands since 4th grade, but I only recently found my love for color guard during my senior year of high school. The GSMB has only furthered my love for band, the people, and color guard. I have made so many lifetime memories and friends during my years with the GSMB, and I am excited to see how many more I will make in the years to come. Outside of the GSMB, I am also involved in NDSU's Western Swing Dance Club as an instructor as well as the Emergency Management Student Association (EMSA). Hi! I’m a sophomore Music Education Major from St. Michael, Minnesota. I play percussion at NDSU. The Gold Star Marching Band helped further my love for the marching arts, and push me to be a better performer every day. Overall, the GSMB is pretty rad!

Yello! I'm in charge the team that works on this website!
I've been playing the saxophone since middle school, primarily on Alto, and I am currently the most senior saxophone member in the GSMB.
I'm also a proud member of the Alpha Theta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, the National Honorary Sorority for Collegiate Bands. We help out the music department at NDSU and also do outreach in the community to promote the appreciation of bands and music.
